Update on beaching of phantom"Lilly"

  https://www.generosity.com/community-fundraising/free-lilly-help-the-phantom-of-the-aqua-rise-again

who have gone through the effort to find the owners if "Phantom of the Aqua"....THANK YOU.  PANTOM, lovingly referred to as "Lilly" was left at sea a little over two weeks ago and obviously hit hurricane Nate.  The whole story of that trip can be seen on my YouTube channel..... captainjohn Hale...
Friday oct 20th at 2pm I got a call from the amazing guys at sandestin resort in Destin Florida.  They saw a boat heading towards the beach. They sent out the parasail boat to find "Lilly" and saw that she was unmanned.  They then set the anchor and she was safely at anchor.  I called Towboatus, which I am a member of.  They will tow you when something happens if you are a member.  They told me that they would be out in an hour and that it didn't matter if I wasn't there.  Their captain called and there was a problem with it going to the resort so he offered to take it somewhere else and anchor it.  I said, that's great.  They had all afternoon and evening to tow it.  They didn't.  Lilly then drug anchor at 9am Saturday morning oct 21st and ended up on the beach.    Towboatus showed up at 11 and refused to do anything and refused to accept any responsibility.  They were responsible for her because they were supposed to tow her last night. Because they didn't, she is now destroyed.  They are trying to say that they are not responsible.  Indeed they are responsible for turning an unbelievable blessing into an unreal disa

John  has 6 amazing children.  He has been sailing since his Gramps taught him how to sail as a very young man. He spent three years cruising with his family, sailing the Florida keys, Bahamas and Turks and Caicos Islands. He spent another two years sailing the Virgin islands. He lived abroad his own boat while running day charters all over the US Virgin islands and British Virgin Islands. The Virgin islands is his one of his favorite places in the world. He discovered that, that was his calling in life, running charters in the Virgin islands and showing people the beauty that makes up the islands and all the fun that is to be had there on and in the water of the Virgin Islands. He learned, while traveling with his children, that the only thing that beats looking out at a truly breathtaking scene is, looking into the eyes of someone else that is looking at that scene.  He holds a 50ton masters license with sail and tow endo

Miss Michelle learned quickly, after her first visit to the Virgin islands, that the spectacular views and beautiful places that exists there were things that she wanted as a permanent part of her life and now spends her  days sharing those things with our guests. She has had several jobs throughout her life but ,hands down, her favorite was raising her 4 beautiful children. Her loving nature makes her the perfect first mate.

Together, John and Michelle, have spent many, many hours renovating the phantom and getting her ready for having guests aboard. They are an amazing team who can accomplish anything together. Whether you are a party crowd or a family with small children you are in the best of hands. These two can handle any needs you may have and will show you the “very best” charter vacation ever.

“Phantom of the Aqua”

She is a 45’ Bruce Roberts ketch. She has two staterooms, two heads, a galley and a settee. The captain and crew occupy one stateroom while the other will sleep two guests. The settee has two fold out bunks that can sleep two friends each. “Phantom” is ideally set up to charter for small families, mom and dad and four children, give or take a couple. However a small group of friends could sleep comfortably. There is a shower area with hot water in the back deck for those who don’t wish to shower in the ocean. She has on her decks, two large bean bag chairs that can also be used to float in the water, two kayaks, fishing poles and a dinghy to run back and forth to the shore on.

A 6 day, 5 night charter, on board “Phantom of the Aqua” will be a fun filled week of sailing, swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, just to name a few of the possible activities. Your adventure will begin on Monday when you meet captain John and Michelle at the dock where they will take you aboard the “Phantom”. The itinerary is totally open but with the time that captain John has spent running charters in the Virgin Islands, he and Michelle can help decide what is the best plan to make certain that you have the very best charter vacation. If you have places you definitely want to see or things that must be done then it will be figured out how to fit it all in. There is so much to see and do in the US Virgin Islands that everyday can be jammed packed with adventure or there can be days set aside for total relaxation. Meals will be prepared and snacks provided. You’ll be dropped off on the dock after a fun filled week, on Saturday in time for you to make your flight back home.

There is so much to see and do in the US Virgin islands. If you want to visit the British Virgin islands also just bring along your passports. There are additional fees Of $95/person for traveling to the BVI'S because of customs in both BVI's and USVi. However, there is more then enough to do without ever leaving the US waters.
